Henderson is one of Clark County, Nevada’s suburbs, that shares boundaries with the Las Vegas metropolitan area. It was incorporated as a city in 1953, after supplying the country’s World War II needs for magnesium. Since its humble war time roots, Henderson's population has grown to 176,048. Prime real estate in Henderson features some of the best views of the Las Vegas Strip, and houses in Henderson have easy access to water sports and activities due to the city’s proximity to Lake Mead. It was also ranked by Prevention magazine in 2007 as the “sixth best walking city in America”, and ranked 20th by Money Magazine in 2006 as “one of the top 100 places to live in USA”.
