Spring Valley has a total land area of 33.4 square miles. The total number of houses is 52,897; 48,012 are occupied and 27,405 are occupied by the owners themselves. Most of the houses were built between 1995 and 1998, which follows right along with much of the rest of the area's building trends. The average number of rooms in owner-occupied houses are 6-7, with the average number of bedrooms in owner-occupied houses & condos at 3. Prices range from about $224,600 and go as high as around $433,900, with a median house sale price of $318,300. A lot of these houses are in gated communities, located in large pieces of land.
Shopping/Entertainment
Due to its proximity to the Las Vegas Strip (approximately just 2 miles away), entertainment and shopping options in Paradise are almost inexhaustible. Shopping malls like the Fashion Show Mall (Las Vegas’ largest), Boulevard Mall and Forum Shops, as well as entertainment hotspots like MGM Grand, Caesars Palace and other hotels, are all within a few minutes from Spring Valley.
Parks/Recreation
Desert Breeze Park, located in the town’s northern part, has a 2 hockey rinks and facilities for skaters. Most of the condos & communities in Spring Valley have exclusive, private facilities (pools, spas, fitness centers, tennis courts, etc.) which can be accessed by members and/or homeowners.
Medical Facilities/Schools
Hospitals and medical facilities within close proximity to Spring Valley include Kindred Hospital Las Vegas which is about 3 miles away in Las Vegas, Healthsouth Hospital at Tenaya, and Mountainview Hospital, both of which are about 6 miles away in Las Vegas. Public education for elementary and high school is provided and managed by the Clark County School District . The Community College of Southern Nevada, about 11 miles away in Las Vegas, and the University of Las Vegas-Nevada, around 24 miles away from Spring Valley in Las Vegas, offer quality education and modern facilities for college students.
